When writing and getting into the creative spirit music has always served as in inspirational tool.
The characters seem to taken on a new level of realism when they have a song attatched to their creation.
What really made me consider this in a creative capacity was when the song “Lion” was used to describe Sarah J Maas’s characters entering the night court. It gave me chills because I could so clearly visualize what was happening and the power that resonated with the scene amplified by the music.
My creative notions took off and right away songs seemed to just jump out at me that spoke to characters in A World Divided.
Calista associates with “Hush”
Knoxx associates with. “Bow – Slowed”
Daisy in all her glory is personified by. “Chinchilla” Good Girl Gone. *Chefs kiss. Perfection
Luxx and Lev are all about “Sugar boom, boom”.
As the sequel of A World Divided is currently in production, I don’t want to give too much away.
I ask you now dear reader, what songs do you associate with characters in the books you read and does it enrich the experience for you knowing what music inspired the authors to create the character?
